Color Challenge #35

Cute huh?

With the Congratulations sentiment!

So, once again I took the chance to do one of Kristina's Color Challenge Kwernerdesign.com. I was very creative this time that I managed to make my own little house template! I saw a little house card on Two Peas in a Bucket and I decided that I liked the card and went ahead and created my own house template on a Word doc. I you like, you can download the template and make your own little house design and then you can show me what you did!
So, on to the card, there wasn't much stamping on this one but I used all the colors for this challenge and incorporated it into the house card....the door, windows, door knob etc. Let me know what you think. I particularly like the door because it has the silver ribbon, the argyle print on the door stamped white (dunno if you can see it on the card), but it comes out cute and simple. This card can be given to someone who just bought a house and is having a house warming, or that's what I had in mind, hence the Congratulations sentiment on the first pic.

Download template here.

*So, what I did to cut out the template was cutting the template with a paper trimmer so the lines come out perfect. You place the template on top of the card stock you want to use. The left roof of the house will be where the flap is on the house card. Pretty simple. I wish I had time to show you with pics but I don't have time. Email me if you have questions but it's pretty straight forward.

*I will be out for 3wks starting Thurs, as I go back home to Bze to visit friends and fam, hopefully I can gather some nice pics and will post them here! Happy Holidays!

Thanks for visiting-

Color Challenge #34

Front.

From the side...

I stole time to participate in this week's Color Challenge by Kristina Kwernedesign.com. The colors were fun to use but I dunno that my camera liked them, cuz the pics weren't that great. I dunno, you decide.  But anywhos, I used silver ribbon to accentuate the card and it went well with the colors. I also used the dotted argyle stamp from SU! for the background, and the Priceless stamp to give it that swirly look. The focal point of the card is the plum star with the ribbon, very cute. I used Dazzle Versa Mark to give it a shiny effect (fairly new versa mark cuz I just saw it), which I really like, dunno if you can see it on the pic, but anywhos, it's quite simple really.

The Holiday Season is here...

up close.

1st holiday card.

2nd holiday card.

Oh man, have I skipped a month of blogging. The month before that I barely blogged, I know someone out there is checking out my blog. I refuse to think that I'm the only one adding to the blog counter :o) THANK YOU!!!

Between the Thanksgiving break and classes now I managed to make a few cute holiday cards. These are cards that are perfect for gift cards but I just made them that size since I might be mailing a few wallet size, holiday photos w/'em.

I fell in love w/a few DP that I found at Archivers. There's not much stamping on these cards save the holiday sentiments inside the card and on the back w/the "hand stamped just for you" stamp. Lots of red as well, I love bold bright colors, and that's the theme here for this cards, very traditional. I decided to add the "blur" effect on these and I'm not quite sure I like it...hmm...

I also added some cute embellishments I found at the Hotspot section like cute buttons and hemp wire (rope? wire? ribbon? ah well!) I hope you like these, also, there's some glitter added. I hope to post a couple more times before I leave for the Holiday vacations. I am going home to Bze for 3wks, I know, it's warm there....

Please stop by again....I have though, been checking out my buddies blogs and there's some really nice cards out there, check them out! Under my stamping pals list on the right!

Take it easy,

Kristina's Color Challenge

up close.

From the side...

Kwernerdesign.com

Ok, phewww! Boy has it been a while huh? And I wish I could make cards more often but school is taking a lot of my time! So, I really wanted to be a part of the color challenge, mostly because I wanted a color combo to work with (Kristina always helps that way!) and was eager to actually be motivated to make one!

This cards really has that modern feel to it, I just went with the flow. I had to include dots somewhere so I did! So, tell me what you think! I hope you guys are still hopping over to my blog, this time I really made something!

A Modern Wedding card...

aww....

quite elegant huh?

I got inspired to make a wedding card this week. I went over to Michael's and saw an awesome stamp set from Inkadinkado that went for a bargain price if you ask me and my friend Sheena asked to make wedding cards this wkend! I think I'll be addicted to their stamps :o) I used one of the new In Colors from SU!-Baja Breeze. Again I almost never picture a card with wording but there it is, it came out great, I think!

A Baby Shower Invitation...

side view, to get more of the scalloped edge...

I think I did a good job..haha.

So, this weekend I mulled over what layout I could use to make the baby shower invitations for my friend Juliana. she is having a baby girl....how awesome!

After much debate I came across the Truly Yours scalloped edge cards at Archivers. Since her colors are pink and brown I went ahead and worked with them. For the lettering I used Word doc. and just printed it on the pink card stock. What do you think?

Upsy Daisy card!

oh so bright colors....

Hey there Amigas,

I thought I wouldn't have time to make a card this week but I did. I am so happy that I got my order in (thanks to Steph) The Upsy Daisy stamp set is adorable. I wanted to be creative with bright colors and different designs. This card is so bubbly. It didn't take that long to make, so that was a plus.

So, there you go...

Kristina's Color Challenge #19

Color Challenge:

I like this one...

Been a while since I participated in a color challenge, so I figured I'd jump in the band wagon and start working...Black is my favorite color "Black is beautiful," I truly believe that...And I also
chose orange as the color of my choice because I had this awesome orange ribbon that I bought from AC that I so wanted to use. The card is clean and fresh, not much to it. Again I did not add any sentiment, didn't picture it that way..

Another Mini Card...

side view.

tiny and elegant...

This may be the last mini card I make for the month. I don't use them much so, I hate to make a card that will just sit there :o(
I used the elegant eggplant card stock once more for this card. I had bought the oval scalloped punch (Marvy Uchida) a while back but didn't use until now. Because I wanted an extra touch to the main focal point of the card I went ahead and stamp a back ground to it, the argyle block from the SU! Looks Like Spring stamp set. second, I stamped the swirly stamp from the SU! Priceless stamp set, pheww. Last, came the paper flower from AC. Simple yet again.

One thing you'll notice about my cards is that some times there is no sentiment...That's because 1. I didn't imagine the card having writing and 2. Usually I make cards for no particular person or reason...

The tiny bluetiful card...

look from another angle...

The flower looks big but really isn't.

The tiny card fits into a SU! mini square envelope (3-1/8"X3-1/8") If you've noticed I've been using the blue floral (not sure what the right wording is) DP lately. I like the card because it's very symmetrical, my thought processing is like that, things have to be equal on both sides, especially for cards, can't seem to deviate from that, I try, really I do...

Once in a while I'll make tiny cards because there's not much to add to 'em. Happy Sunday!

A little blue here and there...

side view...

:o)

Steph says I'm on a roll with my card making, I'm starting to believe her, haha. This card has blue written all over it, not much of a blue fan but this card is bluetiful, haha. I love my scallop punch (have u noticed?), I'll try to use it all the time, I'm addicted to it.  I also used some of the blue AC ribbon that I used in the purple card (down below). Some DP are from AC and some from SU!. I must say I was looking at the SU! idea book and decided to match colors from it. I must sound crazy but this card should be on a Pottery Barn magazine featuring a beach house in the Hamptons, haha. I dunno, it has that feeling...

A Purple Card...

a closer look ...

:o)

Here is another card, created in a simple fashion. Really, there's not much to the card but I think the colors give way for a perfect match. I left the bottom piece of the center card  bare,so that my friend can write the appropriate sentiment...

The ribbon is from American Crafts, and of course the paper flower as well....

Take it easy y'all.... :o)

The Colors of home....

Up close...

Front View...

So, I am very excited about this card, it has that tropical look to it that reminds me of home. I can't quite figure out how I came up with this color combo but I did...it's awesome. I am also very proud of using the Kraft (wood color) card-stock! I decided to experiment with white ink on the card-stock and it came out fine, I had never used that technique in my cards. The flowers I used for the card are those cute paper flowers from American Crafts (got them at Archivers) and the hot pink ribbon from AC as well. Cool huh?

Let me know if you like ;o)

A Girly Bday Card!

From the side, I was trying to get the shimmer to shine :o)

Cute huh?

I told you more cards were along the way...This is yet just another one. I love this card because it was simple to make and very girly, awesome colors to combine and be creative with. I know my friend will like. I used the Fun Filled SU! stamp set and DP. i rarely use brown, so I am happy I could incorporate the color in this card :o)

Hope you like.

Birthday Cards coming...

Side View.

So from here on I will be posting tons of birthday cards as I create them. I am making them for a friend and I obliged, so I am super excited to see what I come up with. Here is another one, i bought a lot of designer paper from SU! that I have not experimented with, but I used some with this card. If you haven't noticed I adore polka dot DP. The ribbon is too, haha. Hope you like, let me know what you think!

Eat Cake!

Pheww! Been a while since I posted, let alone made a card. But this afternoon I felt inspired to make one. I went to Michael's and bought some amazing Martha Stewart ribbon, and let me tell you, it's awesome, simply because it's adhesive as well!!!! So I used some to use for the birthday card. I also used the eat cake felt "ticker", which is very easy to use.  I promise to post more often, next week is the last week of classes and I have two weeks to become creative again....

Up close, heehee! I can't get over this one ;o)

So, I'm back! Well sorta, kinda. You know I have been busy and I really didn't want to miss out on this challenge because the colors are amazing! Kristina picked out some awesome colors to work with (the pic displays them perfectly). Here is my take on it. As you can see it's another one of those lovely round cards that I love to make, the light today gave way for some amazing pictures, the lighting is perfect. I really hope you like, because I think it's adorable. I love the Funny Punny stamp set from SU! The tiny baby holding on to the crib is adorable, my ma took a pic of me when I was a baby of me like that, funny!

Color Inspiration Challenge #11

Kristina's Color Challenge

Based on these colors:

Up close from the side...

Up close, now this is another tiny card, just like the Summer Card I made before.
Fits into a SU! Mini square Envelope 3-1/8" X 3-1/8".
I had to hold it so it stood up straight and as you can see it is very simple.  I think it's adorable!

(retook pics for better lighting and crisp look :o)
