The card, most of the supplies are from SU!, save the ribbon perhaps and a couple card stocks. I've had this stamp for ages and only used it once on holidays cards 2yrs ago! For the new yr i'm planning on using stamps I already have, believe-you-me i have quite a bit! One thing about the card, well the card base should be gray but it's showing a little bit blue, sorry about that -_- Whaddaya think? Likey? I am so proud of my new use of colors, hehe, don't think I've ever used this combo ;o)

Any plans for the New Yr?

The tag iself is pretty easy to make. whaddaya think?

One more day for the Holidays peeps, I hope you've got yer shopping done so far, can't imagine me being at the mall the day before Xmas, my guess is that it would be packed with all those last min shoppers, hmmmm...

The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, their Thank you set. It's very elegant looking, didn't intend that to happen but the ribbon puts it up a notch.

Let me know what you think! And I hope your wk started off well. For this wk, well nothing planned except visiting the in-laws on Xmas day. Every yr we spend Xmas with them they ask me to bake an apple pie. I'm am kind of a great baker. Here is the recipe if you'd like HERE. The whole pie preparation takes time but well worth it!

Winter is Warmer Together

Hey there peeps,

A happy Mon to ya! Hopefully yer Mon wasn't too bad, nobody ever likes Mon right? Me either. A card here for you today, this is one of the many cards I sent out for fam and friends. Since Archiver's was having a sale on their stamps and quite frankly I lacked the holiday ones, I decided to get this cute set from Stampendous. I luv snowmen, is this one cute?

How are your holiday plans coming along? After Wed I'll be able to buy some gifts for my fam and send it down to them.

Snuggle Up for the Season! and Great Find.

Oh my goodness, when I saw this cling stamp on sale over at Archivers today I was like, I have to get it! lol. I luv the Matroyshka doll type stamp, aren't they adorable? And the little penguin and snowman, so cute! The card is very simple since I wanted all the focus on the stamped images. The colors are very traditional holiday colors except maybe for the Kraft card stock. Let me know what you think! Oh yeah, I am having this card as part of the Holiday stamp party I am hosting in a couple weeks for all the ladies I met during the last yr in class. It's my way of wanting to touch bases with them and letting them know how much fun it was getting to know them, study together :)

Ok, I also had the MoxieFabWorld "Christmas in the Old Country" challenge, my card is based off of the Matroyshka Doll from Russia!

**Great Find: Stampendous "Cling Snuggle Season" cling stamp**

Why? Gosh, I'm drooling over this stamp, hehe. I luv that it's just the right size for a standard size card and easy to color in. You don't need to decorate your card much since the stamp itself is so adorable!

Where and How much? Archivers is having a sale on all their stamps - 20% off on all stamps. Sells for $3.99+tax with the 20% off. Regular price $4.99 (not a bad price for a cling rubber stamp)

Charming Gift Tags

Hello peeps,

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. As for me, well, one more wk of classes and then finals, so my 3wks vacation is right around the corner! yey!
The tags: well, I had bought a SU! Charming stamp set a while ago and had not used it, brand new! I found it a couple days ago and decided to make cute tags using the set, aren't they elegant looking? These tags would go great on a wine bottle as a gift or on a flower bouquet or something, don't you think? I really liked how they looked, especially since a lot of the card is stamping! The tag size is 1 3/4" X 3 1/4 ". All I did was stamped the images on the right, the sentiment, punched out a circle to tie the twine through. Voila!

NYC Pics!

Peeps,

I promised you pics and here they are! Scott and I really had a blast and it was really fun visiting the city again (second time visiting). Scott's fam lives in Long Island so we took the Long Island train to the city. By the end of the day we were exhausted from all the walking you get to do! We did ride the subway, it was my first time on it and although I kept on thinking any minute it will get highjacked or some crazy guy will try to steal my purse it wasn't that bad at all! You know, movies will do that to you.

Best part of the trip? Meeting Harold Dieterle 1st Top Chef winner (season 1) This was the second time we visited his restaurant and the first time we were there he was not around. If you are ever in NYC and want to try his restaurant do check it out, it's called Perilla. Savitri asked how I managed to meet him in his kitchen and well, my good looks made that possible, haha. JK! No, I asked the waitress because we had seen him go in and out of the kitchen once we got seated, and she said yeah, that we could go on back and meet him, OMG! I took my camera with me. I was so thrilled that when I said hi I forgot to introduce the hubby to him, yeah, that's how ecstatic I was! hehe.

How frickin cool is this? Harold (Top Chef winner Season 1) was very nice :o)

Scott enjoying his appetizer.

I ordered the same thing! It was so tasty!

Dinner- yummy.

The card: I really like! I bought some SU! chocolate chip card stock a while back and hadn't used it, but it occurred to me that the green and red would look good on it, it did! I luv luv the bold colors!

Ok, so I decided since I shop A LOT for craft supplies and have used them, I decided every time I find something cool I'd tell you about it, you know just in case your looking for something to add to your list. i'll tell you why I like them and where to find them and for how much. Sorta like me own review :D

**Great Find: Jillibean Soup Journaling Sprouts!**

Why? They come in many diff colors and you can use them as tags on presents or you can add them to your cards like I did for a cool touch! You get two of each sprout and you get about 20+ of them!

Where to find? You can find them at Archivers (yes they carry Jillibean Soup products now) for $3.49+tax or at Twopeasinabucket.com they are having a sale of them for $1.49 Find it HERE.

A card for you today, you might ask yourself if this paper is from the Nook and Pantry collection from Basic Grey and yes it is. Engagement Card- Torendi Style!

If this is as much a surprise to you then we're on the same boat, haha. Yeah, it came to me when I saw these cute bots from the Bam Bop paper collection included in the Nov "Pop" Kit from Torendi. Awesome huh? I had no idea what to make for this week's card and after I decided what paper to use I figured, ok, this is going to work as an engagement card! Know any couple that if they got married their wedding would be far from the traditional one? Yeah, this card would be perfect for them. It's cute and hip! heehee. Ok, the card is pretty much simple, didn't want to add too much to it since the paper is awesome and full of bold colors. Tied some ribbon, added a button and sentiment and voila, a cute card!

Hope your week starts off well. Mine sure is, lots of things to do before Scott and I head on out to NYC! yeah baby! ;o) Yup, we're spending Thanksgiving over at his fam up in NY and we're so excited. We don't have much planned but we'll see what we end up doing, for sure we're gunna go to Soho and Greenwich Village (my fav place so far in the world!) We might end up going to the Macy's Thanksgiving parade too, we'll see how cold it gets.

Ok, There's still time to head on over to Torendi and purchase your Pop kit if you haven't. Remember, there's a flat rate shipping so no worries if you plan on adding more stuff to yer cart. I luv luv luv my brand new EpicSix die cut/embossing tool! YEY! I purposely took hubby to Archiver last wkend cuz they were having a sale on the EpicSix ($60 usually sold for $70 but some places $80) And I told him that it's what I wanted for this holiday since I don't have one, and we got sold on the tool, we got a demo and all, so now I'm breaking it out with my new embossing plate, hee hee.

Ok, the card is super cute and really not much too it. I got this holiday embossing plate (which is actually from Cuttlebug but can be used with the EpicSix) and figured it would like nice as the main theme of the card, I was right! Tied some ribbon and button, added a snowflake and sentiment and Voila! tell me what you think! The only thing I don't like about the embossing is that it warps the card, not sure if it's the card stock I used or the type of embossing plate I used, do any of you have a problem like this when you emboss cards?

Last thing, Torendi is still having their SALE- going on through Nov 16th. There's still time to get your goodies using the discount they're offering! Japanese imports are 15% off now through the 16th

The tree is 'frosted' using Martha Stewart fine glitter (I found it at Michael's) but first I just traced over the branches and tree trunk with my Sakura white gel pen to give it that snow-y look. Torendi - Happy Birthday Card

Woohoo! Ladies, some exciting news to share with you! I have been chosen as the Nov Torendi Setter! How great is that right? Super, I am so excited, have been excited ever since I got asked by the lovely Tiff (I{heart}Art), what an honor! Gosh, and having to 'meet' Jenn Coker (double N designs)- founder of Torendi is a big plus for me :D Torendi has awesome stamps-Bam Pop, I completely fell in love with the stamps and the kits (monthly kits that are so much fun to work with!) This month I get to play with the Pop Kit! Head on over to the Torendi blog to find out more!

Ok, on to my first card! I made a mini circle card using some cute embellishments from the Pop kit, pretty cute and simple yet the colors are so bold and bright, I luv it! The swirl was a hit with me! I planned on 'dressing' it up but I figured it would just take away from the awesome patterned paper, what do you think?

I can tell Savitri is an awesome mommy! Ok, down to the card, I kept it really simple, very true to her sketch and used very few supplies. I used a Kraft envelope for the background, well, I cut out the envelope so I could get some of it for the background. Used my Sakura gel pen to make borders, fun and cute. This was true for my family growing up, actually someone gave us a very very old typewriter, you know the one with the keys that you really had to press on. Yeah, we had one so I figured it'd be fun to incorporate that idea onto the card. I really like the cute phrase, so fun and brings you back to the good old days. Who never watched the Smurfs right?

Hey there peeps, Happy Mon to ya! I holiday card here for the Moxie Fab World "Stretch Your Style Challenge-Stamping". The card is pretty simple with subtle colors. Not very big into the traditional holiday colors (red, and green) so I decided to make the card with suft pastel colors and also kraft. The focal point of the card is the cute stocking that i colored in using a blender pen. I also used glitter for the "fold" of the stocking, cute huh? So the challenge is to include some soft of stamping on the card-so I stamped the stocking, and the background is also stamped (dotted) and the sentiment, I think that qualifies for the challenge! Let me know what you think!

Hey there ladies,
A card here for Laura's Sketch #33 at 2S4Y! So I had 2 PP collections from Sassafras Lass that I had not used so I decided to break them out, hehe. Again, using my PTI Scattered Showers stamp set, luv luv luv it! Not sure what the 'theme' of the card is, perhaps just a plain old "Luv U" card, we'll see. But I really like the retro look and the way the card all works in a funky way because these PP sure are retro-ish and colorful, tell me what you think and for what occasion this would fit in!?

PTI Card...Finally!

PTI Card
Originally uploaded by CloudsShadler
Hey there peeps,
A "Thinking of You" card using my brand new awesome PTI stamp, yes, I finally had some lil $$$ to get me some! I love the swirl set that they came out with, which I think it's been out for a bit but when I first saw it I just drooled over it, haha. (I've read that it a typical rxn to their stamps, you know, drooling, haha) The sentiment stamp is also by them from their Scattered Showers set. Anywhos, the card is pretty simple, but I think that flower is just too darn cute! whaddaya think? (oh yeah, did I forget to mention I should be studying? It's so difficult to juggle craft time and school time, hmmm.... :o) One more thing, a card using Dawn's color challenge, not sure if they match 100% but I loved the colors this wk!

For You Card

Hey peeps, Looks like I'm on a roll this wkend, hehe. Well that's good I guess cuz on the 24th I start college again, ughh! Well to be honest, part of the reason why I keep on making cards is because I'm sending out thank you cards for our friends who came to my hubby's BBQ party and to some college buddies I met this summer. So I guess that is the motivation behind all the card making, hehe. Ok, the card is pretty simple. I am so proud of my stitching on this card because it was a lot easier than the other card stitching I did before, :D

AC Thank You Card
Originally uploaded by CloudsShadler
Hey there peeps, so a thank you card for one of our good friends who attended my hubby's birthday BBQ last wkend. I figured it was time to break into those awesome goodies I got from Cath from Moxie Fab World :D I got quite a bit of DP from American Crafts!!! (I was ever so thankful to her :) I just got back from our trip to Tucson AZ at a spa resort! Now, I didn't tell you because hubby made it a surprise! (yes, that's my hubby) He had planned the whole thing about 3 months ago and I didn't suspect a thing!!!! So, the place where we went is Miraval (you might've heard of the spa resort if you watched Oprah) I highly recommend it! Ok, have a great wkend! And now from some blog hopping :D so before I forget, I made this card off of the sketch (CPS 128) provided by Card Positioning Systems, loved the lay out :)

* Ok, so I've been on this habit of posting pics and blogging through Flickr, just because the pics look a lot better if I post them there! So go ahead and click on the pic for a larger view and supplies!

I had a whole new different card in mind for this challenge but as I went through my pile of stuff (yes, a have managed to accumulate tons of craft stuff, ughh, there is no organization whatsoever!) I found this awesome PP by Sassafras Lass that had a cute little owl on it, so I decided that would be my focal point.

Flower Card

Flower Card
Originally uploaded by CloudsShadler
Hey there ladies, Clouds here with another card for the Moxie Fab World "Bag Lady Challenge" This challenge was right up my alley since some of the lovely bag/purses had flowers on them, and some crocheting, hehe. So, I found this awesome set of flower templates by Bazzil called In Stitchez. I pierced the templates on the card, stitched them using cute and fun colors and added some of my very own crochet flower! Oh, how I love the card! hehe. Let me know what you think!

:o) A very special card for a very special someone in my heart.

don't you just love that lace? I do!

:o)

Hi ladies, first I want to thank you all for the kind words on the last post I made. I really appreciate them all. I've never really lost someone very close to me, so this came as a shock. My grandma was close to me and I her that it really hurt down to the core that I could not see her before she passed away. oh man, I will always love my grandma and I will never forget her :o) So, this card is dedicated to her, well to a few things I kept that were hers. I am planning on buying a trinket box to keep them all with me. The card says 'chi-chi' (pronounced "chee-chee') which in mayan means grandma. The card is mostly made after the colors I think she would've liked and some that I saw her wear or little things the she had that had those colors, very soft colors. A while ago I got some cute craft goodies from M.Engracia who is from Spain! The lace she sent me comes all the way from Portugal, so I figured grandma would've liked the lace :o) Well, that's it for now.
