Happy Belated Birthday Marisa!!!

From the side.

there you go!

I usually forget people's birthday save mine and my husband's because our bday's are back-to-back! But I didn't know it was my sister-in-law's birthday last wkend, I think (sorry Marisa), but when I heard I decided to make her a bday card, a bealted one that is! So, it's quite simple, there's some purple and pink on the card, as well as this cute felt "celebrate" felt sentiment I bought a while ago that I really like. And of course, the cake!

Happy Belated Bday Marisa! (I KNOW U VISIT MY BLOG VERY OFTEN CUZ MY BRO TOLD ME!) ;o)

Laura's sketch #20

from the side.

cute, cute!

Here's my take on the challenge! It's a very simple card really. The thing that I liked about the sketch is the uniqueness of it, I have never really thought of a sketch like that so it was more fun figuring out what colors went right, and it's all thanks to Laura over at 2S4Y. As always, I used a ribbon-silver ribbon to go down the card and also added two cute white stick on felt flowers to accentuate the card. Whaddaya gals think?

Kazan's Sketch #20

from the side.

tadah!

So, I made this quick card for Kazan's Sketch #20 over at 2S4Y. To make this the perfect size (4 1/4 X 4 1/4) I trimmed it down a bit. I find that it's easier for me to make smaller cards than bigger ones, actually, I tried a few times and I just don't know how to 'fill' the card, and I just end up getting frustrated. I have some Urban Oasis DP from SU! and used that as the focal point of the card, I used white organza ribbon for a cute bow and some silver ribbon to add more to the background. I hope the card doesn't look bad considering there's a lotta white accessories in the card. The HB is for Happy Birthday. I dunno, I like it!

oh, sorry for the lighting bad lighting on the second photo, it was getting kinda dark... :o(

Take care,

A Happy Valentine's Day Pot...For my Hubby!

For my hubby :o)

I can't believe I made this, haha.

There's that gorgeous ribbon again!

So, I made this for my hubby. Cute huh? I have been very bad lately because I've never really given him something for Valentine's Day except for the usual card, and sometime no card at all, I know! But I'm making it up to him this time. We don't usually celebrate anything but Valentine's Day partly because our 3yr anniversary is on Feb 17th and my mom and dad's is on Valentine's Day, I know, cheesy huh? But yeah, and not to mention the mood during this holiday is hyped up so, that's why. But he doesn't know I made it for him, so shhhhhhh...

But here is the flower pot/heart pot. I saw something like this on a card book once except it was for a Xmas felt tree, so I decided to make a heart pot. So, I found a heart template online (google: heart template) and printed it, stuck it on the brown felt and cut the heart shape out. I bought some cute heart shaped buttons at Michael's and sewed it on, punched out some heart shapes from card stock and adhered it to the card with brads. I then used regular green color thread and sewed the edges, before I sewed the whole edge I stuffed the inside with cotton balls and inserted the stick/small dowel on as well and sewed the whole thing up, tied some of that gorgeous yellow ribbon around the pot too. Easy but it takes a little bit of time to assemble the whole thing, but pretty straight forward. I bought heart shaped peanut butter cups (cuz those are his fav) and filled the ceramic flower pot with it, tadah!!!! Oh, and stamped the sentiment as well!!

Pheww! That's it, let me know what you think!

P.S: I'm by no means a master at this, it just came to me and turned out just fine! So you can do it too! If it's not too late ;o) oh and a Happy Valentine's Day to all of you wonderful women who care to come by my blog!!! Thanks ladies!

2sketches4U Challenge-Laura's Sketch #19!

ribbon, rhinestones and brads :o)

Love my ribbon!

This is my first challenge at 2Sketches4You and how exciting! I loved the sketch by Laura and went right to the drawing board to figure out what I wanted for this card. I bought this cute yellow ribbon by AC and figured out the colors around the ribbon. I also had some pink rhinestones I bought a while back and incorporated into the card. The heart stamp is by SU! from the Happy Heart set. Again, no sentiment! So, I hope you like, I think I've found a cool blog to check up on daily! Highly recommend it!

Papertrey Challenge

Up close!

The handmade baggie!

Here's my little baggie I create for Nicole's challenge tonight. I don't usually take pics at night for the fact that I seriously don't think they come out well at all. But, I really wanted to enter the challenge so I did. I might decide tomorrow to retake these pics again :o) 2posts in one night, never been done before! I know mom is the only sentiment on the focal point but it was made with thoughts of my mommy, for her birthday which is in May or for Mother's Day, not sure when that is, but anywhos, here it is.

Color Challenge #40

cute huh?

Hey there peeps, this is yet another one of Christina's Color Challenge. The colors are vibrant and awesome, they go so well. Usually you'll see my cards have been having ribbon lately, this one doesn't, I forgot, oops! But I figured since it's a small card it was fine the way it turned out. This card is perfect for a gift card. Thanks for visiting, hope yer having a happy week!
