Card Patterns Sketch #17

up close.

love the colors!

This wkend I'm trying to make as much cards as I can. So I've been busy looking for challenges out there, mostly sketch challenges because I get stumped most of the time trying
to figure out the layout of the card. So when I saw that Savitri was a guest DT over at Card Patterns I said, heck, why not, I'll join in on the fun! So, here's the card. I like it a lot partly because the PP I used from AC is fabulous and it was very easy to work and incorporate into the sketch. It didn't take me very long to make actually. There's that cute ribbon again, from AC (found it at Michael's). The sentiment is from SU! Simple Saying II set. Hope you're having a fun wkend!

365 Cards "Watermelon Challenge"

So I ran across 365 Cards blog, where Pam hosts daily challenges throughout the wk, all yr round! Awesome! I'm always looking around at different blogs to find inspiration and often direction with sketches and color challenges, themes etc. I love this blog, it has tons of cool challenges! So, check it out if you'd like!

So in this wk there's a watermelon challenge. You either use the colors provided in the card presented for the challenge or use watermelon images on your card.  I used watermelon images, I saw this really cool and fresh looking watermelon PP at Archivers and couldn't resist getting it. The card is really simple, just some PP, cute ribbon by AC and a Happy Happy sentiment (by HA).

Hope you like,

Kazan's Sketch #27

card based on Kazan's sketch #27!

cute cute baby shower card!

Here is it gals, Kazan's sketch #27. I had a fun time with these stamps from Starving Artists Stamps (they are offering some cool discounts this wk to all 2S4Y participants, for more info just visit 2S4YThey have very cute stamps that are just precious to work with. I must say
, the stamp I got to work with were simply adorable and I loved coloring her in and decorating her dress. As you can see by the pics, it was a lot of fun and I used very fun girl colors and some cute pom poms on the first card. The second card I wanted to show you another way to use that cute stamp, in the form of a baby shower invitation, just cute! I water-colored the dress with SU! ink and a water color pen and added some glitter and rhinestones, very quick and easy. To get the invitation info. I just went ahead and wrote it on Word.doc and printed it on white cardstock, and I cut it to fit the scalloped cardstock, not much to it! Alright ladies, hope your wkend was a lot of fun and a Happy Memorial Day to ya!
Much loving,
Clouds :D

Graduation Card

love this purple bow!

this card is so hip! haha

So, my little sister (Judith) is graduating from HS back in Belize. So I made this card for her, I used the Teen patterned paper from American Crafts. I love this paper series, so many bold bright colors and it's very trendy and girly. Lots of fun colors and designs! I used the Great Grads stamp set from SU! for the sentiment and I've found that to be very versatile! It's definitely not your traditional black and white card at all, that's why I love it! I hope she will! (I hope she doesn't grab ahold of the fact that I made her a card, hehe)

2S4Y Kazan's Sketch #26

here it is!

Hey there peeps, so this is my very first debut as a DT member over at 2S4Y and I'm super excited about unveiling my card. We used printable images from The Cutting Cafe. There were so many pieces to work with and ultimately I went with cake images for my card. I wanted to card to be super girly and fresh! I used patterned paper from SEI that I found at Michael's called Bridgeport. Used some fun yellow ribbon and rhinestones.

Mother's Day Card

You think she'll like? I think so :D

Hey there peeps, just squeezing this Mum's Day card before the sun set, in order to get good lighting to take the pic I need to take it around mid-day but no later than the evening. I know it's weird! I got this awesome patterned paper from SEI called Bridgeport  over at Michael's for 50% off! I know, you should head on over there, really cool deals going on. I tried not to add so much to the card because the patterned paper is just beautiful, so didn't want to hide it! And the damask and flower is from this free digi-kit over at Two Peas in a Bucket. Click here to get it if you'd like. I'm not sure how long it's going to be free or if this is even legal for me to tell you (I dunno the rules of bloggin and showing you free stuff)! Oh well, it's a cute fun kit and easy to work with, hey, it's FREE right??? But anywhos, the card is for my mom-in-law, hubby wanted me to make one for his grandma and his mom so I happily made some! I wish I'd made one for my mum but since she's two countries away and it takes forever for her to get mail, I just usually call her and that's fine.
