2 Notes & Things Cards

Hello peeps,

Today I'm sharing two cards - yes, two cards in one post! I made them with Crate Paper's "Notes & Things" paper collection and the coordinating stickers. I really didn't want to steal away from beautiful paper patterns so besides the new layout I'm trying, the cards are simple and elegant. I cut an 8.5X11 paper in half vertical wise. The cards open horizontal wise - meaning to the side rather than up like most cards I've made before.

The first card showcases the beautiful floral patterned paper with pastel colors.

The second card showcases an array of colorful butterflies and the big flower at the top left.

I couldn't imagine the cards any better than this and they really didn't take that long to make either. I have to thank my friend Wida Miller (Beachorado) for this beautiful paper. Wida had mailed them to me a couple weeks back and finally got some time to craft with them over this weekend.

Well, this is it! Leave me a note if you like the cards. I'd love to hear from you.

Flower Bunch V2 Card

Hello Crafty Peeps -

Following up on my previous post earlier this week, now I am sharing the second card I made over the weekend. This card has slightly smaller roses that I also layered and embellished with some sequins. If you haven't read my earlier posts - all "flower" cards will be sold for Mother's Day. So, I've made about 15 cards in total so far that I'll be putting up grabs at my work office this week. So no - I haven't turned into the flower lady but I'm simply sharing some of the cards I've made for that occasion.

Do you make your own cards for Mother's Day? (I mean that you plan on giving away not if you plan on giving yourself a mother's day card KWIM? Though you could ;) I really do enjoy this occasion because I will normally gravitate around pastel/springy colors, so these cards come easy for me. I also like to carry a theme to my cards, like last year's Mother's Day cards were all about flower stamps and this year is all about digital flower cut files on patterned paper. It keeps my crafting interesting :)

Well, that's all I have for you today. Let me know what you think and I'd love to hear from ya!

Card Supplies:
Elle's Studio: (Cienna) paper collection and coordinating journaling tags
Fancy Pants: sequins
Silhouette: Cameo die cutting machine
Tombow Mono: adhesive

Take care,
Claudia :)

flower bunch card

Hello Peeps,

Another flower card to share with you today - isn't it beautiful? I used Elle's Studio "Cienna" paper collection and a couple cut files from the Silhouette store online for the leaves and flowers. And how could I make a card these days without some sequins? (wink) I really like the way the card turned out, and if you have seen my past previous cards, you'll see I have been on a flower frenzy lately.

Do you own a digital cutting machine? I vowed to use my Cameo as much as I can this year and I have to say that I've kept it up pretty well. I have found enjoyment in browsing for cut files and thinking about how I can incorporate them on my cards, it really beats having to store dies and accumulating them in a drawer (KWIM?)

Well, this is another quick post. It was really windy out today but the sun was shining all day. I really wanted to be outside but that damn wind didn't make it comfortable to be outside. Well, I hope you have a great start to your week.

Card Supplies:
Elle's Studio (Cienna) paper collection & coordinating journaling tags
Silhouette (Cameo) digital cutting machine & cut files (set of twigs #64302; floral sprig #28391)
Fancy pants sequins
Tombow Mono (adhesive)

Take care,
Claudia :)

With Love card - SC Kit

Hello Peeps -

Today I'm sharing a card I made with a past SC card kit I bought recently that was on sale. I bought the kit because it was only $10 and couldn't pass on the deal. The patterned paper is sized for a 6X6 paper pad and I really like the paper combination. The sentiment stamp is an exclusive by Kelly Purkey that I snagged ages ago.

Well, the weather this weekend is looking pretty nice - high 50s. The hubby and I met up with one of our friends and went on down to the farmer's market in Boulder, CO. We enjoyed a tasty brunch and strolled around the market looking at all the fresh produce and local foods it had to offer. What do you normally do on the weekends? We are fortunate to have the weekends off and now that the weather is getting warmer, we are getting ready to plan hikes, visits to the farmer's market and relaxing on our patio.

I hope you get to enjoy your weekend. It's a quick post today!

Take care,
Claudia :)
