Happy Birthday card

Hello peeps -

Today's card features the Make-It-Market kit "Beautiful Brushstrokes" kit stamps and some Crate Paper patterned paper for the background. Continuing with the theme of the multi-step stamping I really like the way this card came out. I think the colors go very well with the polka dot background of the patterned paper.

I've been on a roll with making cards this past week and have enjoyed making each one of them. With the long holiday weekend coming along (Independence Day) I do plan to make more cards and I'm excited about it. So speaking of making cards - how many cards do you think you make during the week? For me - it depends anywhere from three to none (ha).

Well, this is a quick post. Please leave me a comment if you like the card. You know I always like hearing from you!

Take care,
Claudia :)

Celebrate Card

Hello Peeps-

I've got a card to share with you today. I absolutely love this card! The colors came together quite well and the sentiment is spot on. I made the card using the PTI "Make-It-Market" series "Nostalgic Notions" kit and while it took me a while to complete, I am happy with the end result. There was a lot of prepping such as cutting out the flowers with the coordinating dies and multi-step stamping.

This is a quick post today. While work has been busy lately, I am glad and also surprised that I've been inspired to make cards quite frequently and wanted to take the chance to share them with you. Speaking of multi-step stamping - do you enjoy sets that are multi-step? Generally, since there is not much stamping on my cards (I rely on patterned paper mostly) , I did find it a little time consuming.

Anyhoot, I do hope you are having a good week so far. The weekend is near and I'm happy to take time this weekend to enjoy being outdoors. I hope you get to do something fun this weekend as well!

Take care,
Claudia :)

Happy Birthday - Beautiful Brushstrokes

Hello peeps -

I've got a card to share with you today and it's really the best card on my blog this year so far. I am really happy in the way this card turned out - the color combination, the patterned paper - everything. This weekend I got to visit my craft pal Danielle Flanders (Homespun with Heart) and was able to do some crafting with her today (always happy to craft with her). I was also lucky to stamp with one of the Make-It-Market kits (Beautiful Brushstrokes - and sadly no longer available - boo!).

If you asked me last night if I had any kind of motivation to craft, I would've said nope - and look at what I came up with today. Do you ever get into a craft block? I do. I find that the longer I craft in between projects, the worst my ability to craft gets. I try to craft as much as I can and that normally or always happens during the weekends. During the week days, I work and by the time I get home, there's not much energy or motivation to craft.

Anyhoot - back to the card - I do like the bit of layering with the flowers and the way the colors of the stamping pull from the colors of the patterned paper - that was intentional. I also like the sentiment - this is also from another Papertrey Ink set (see below for card supplies). I'm running low on my card stash at work, so this card will go with me to work tomorrow.

Let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you - have you been crafting lately?

Take care,
Claudia :)
