Hello there peeps,

I've finally had a chance to craft and make some lovely valentine tags! Aren'y they just cute? I recently bought the Marvy Uchida (the biggest size they've got) tag punch and had to make some! Really, the tags are adorable and simple to make, I've been secretly stocking Keisha Campbell's blog for inspiration, and well I've tried to emulate her tags, in my own kind of way :)

So, well the news is out and thought I'd share on my blog too, a couple of days (really this was fairly recent and happened really quickly) ago I got an email from a familiar name - Christine Middlecamp, asking me to join Crate Paper .. what?1?1? Was I being punked? I did not see this coming, how could I say no? For the past couple weeks I've been trying to get my hands on Paper Heart collection and little did I know I was being scouted by the very same brand, amazing! So, yes folks, I am now a Crate Paper Girl, have you seen their blog? Lots of amazing ladies, lots o' talent! I am very excited and honored! What a way to start the yr!

Back again, first post of the new year, really 2011 had been a very good year for us, although hectic and very busy, we have been granted very wonderful experiences here in the Shadler household (of two). First and foremost Scott and I are in good health, and with that we hope that this yr grants us just that and the opportunity to keep working and prosperity. It is also my hope to make more time to post on my blog, though I don't make much promises, I won't stress about posting all the time but at least enough to keep my creative juices flowing as well as to stay a part of the creative bloggin' world. There are many of you who bring so much inspiration to me and will continue to seek out yer blogs, comment and enjoy the camaraderie that my blog and yours have to offer :)

A page to share today, I had made this a while ago, just never got the chance to share until now, made exclusively with Jenni Bowlin (Nov'11) Papercrafting kit (I checked for you, and it is still available for purchase on her site), very simple yet lots of fun embellishments! It's a pic of me at the trendy Lower Highlands area in the Denver, all the yuppies inhabit it and well, I just made my way to the breakfast eatery :)

Well, there isn't really, I have a difficult time journaling my scrap pages ... but pics are worth a thousand words right? :) Not much going on this wkend, still of course, doing some last minute shopping before our trip to Bze.

dec 7 2011 - this year JCrew has has some really nice sales, and the hubby and I have enjoyed getting some nice clothes from them, which may not be a good thing for our savings, but we'll sure look good in our outfits :) When he first saw this page he asked - "why are you on this pic?" ha! smart ass!

day 6 of dec daily, and rest assured I've missed a day or two so far, but fear not, I'm still DD strong, still motivated and excited about this project! This wk marks exactly one wk to Bze, I'm really excited to be traveling back home to see family and friends, with that said, I won't be posting or blogging until my return. i hope you like the page, I've enjoyed my use of watercolor misting, very easy and fun technique to add to layouts.

dec 6 2011 - Don't get me wrong, I luv Whole Foods, the food is great and their coffee excellent, there's a fairly new one by our new place, they even have a pasta bar where they serve italian food!

I have day 5 of dec daily to share with you today, a very simple page. lots of lines on both pp, I really like the contrast it still creates though, and of course the pop of color from the snowflake. I also like how simple my pages have been, which is a good thing if I'll be doing this for the rest of the month, otherwise I would never finish! The pic is taken with the Instagram app of my iPhone, it really does come in handy!

dec 5 2011 - Hands down, I'm the MOST regular customer at Archivers in Westminster, CO - Almost all the ladies know me by name, the mangager, the asst mgr, seriously, all of them, so yes, I've earned it the title of ... "archiver's most frequent customer '11" :) What can say?1?#

A page here for dec daily - I'm totally luving the mini album and the size rocks! I think I may stick to white/cream paper and embellish with fun reds, blues etc. I think the colors pop that way better!

Dec daily - day 4 - "oh xmas tree" - the hubby and I decided that no matter how big or small a house we have, we'll stick to a small xmas tree, it's adorable and easy to decorate, initially we weren't going to put it up since we are leaving for Bze for Xmas but we caved in and put it up - we luv it!

The very first page of my dec daily album is finally put together! The dec daily project started out well, but first let me tell you that I missed a couple days and decided that I'll move on to the following days, that way I don't feel overwhelmed and well, easier to move forward. The page is pretty simple, I adjusted the size of the pages to 5X5 pages, perfect for the pics I've been taking and easy to put together. I know I'm a tad behind of posting my pages but it's never too late!

dec 1st 2011 - Brittany, my work buddy and I, we sit across from each other at the law firm, more than often we goof off, get rowdy and enjoy working together, this day is no different.

If you thought I passed away or that I'm out of the bloggin' world completely, well I've been trying to get my crafting mojo back, yes, that bad :S I'm still getting my JBS kits monthly, still shopping at Archiver's (although not as often as before, it's not as close to me as it was), still blog hopping onto people's blogs here and there ... But really, it's a culmination of being too damn busy at work and being unmotivated to craft ....

But, anyhoot, this year I'm jumping the band wagon and diving into Ali Edward's December Daily tradition! I'm pretty excited, I even bought the Studio Calico Dec Daily Kit ... But here's the thing, I improvised on the size of my album, I just wasn't feeling the 8.5X6 album, I didn't even see myself trying to arrange my layouts on that size, or maybe it's because I'm so used to scrapping on 8X8 pages ... So, I made my own album with Tim Holtz binder rings and some cardboard (that came with the SC kit). And voila, an approximate 6 inch album with different size paper, and bamm! I'm happy the way it turned out, so, still in its early stages but felt comfy enough to display :) Let me know what you think!

A scrap page today using the new Jenni Bowlin Paper crafting Kit (oct '11) - oh so lovely colors to work with, the embellishments are girly and cute, they really just pop out of the kraft card stock! Scotty boy and I usually, if not most always do sunday brunches. Our neighborhood is packed with really good places to catch brunch and we can't resist.

Quick post as usual, not much going on this wkend, which is nice, uneventful wkends are fine by me these days :) A pumpkin pic to come soon, we need to carve it out first :)

A sweet simple fall-ish scrap page. I received my new kit from Sweet Peach Crop kits, sounds like they are new but there kits are adorable and reasonably priced (always a good thing). The kit has beautiful papers and embellies to work with, and the the colors rock! very good pairing of colors (mini reveiw if u will). All supplies are exclusively from the kit. The pic is of me while enjoying the fall colors up in da mtns :) Pretty simple page, lovely colors and lots o' layering. Quick post, not much going on here. I hope yer wkend is going well! I'm still alive, and I still craft (from time to time). Life in CO is busy, which I'm happy, that means I get to make some $$$ and buy all things crafty, on the flip side though, I need to find time to actually craft!

On to the scrap page- a really kind peep at JBS sent me some goodies from the Jenni Bowlin new release and I couldn't have been happier! Really, because it came as a surprise! I fell in love with their new Holiday- Halloween paper and it's adorable! There are some vintage images and cutesy designs but ya know, it works! I am really luving the black, orange colors ... So, here is Scotty boy holding our very first pumpkin last year. Little did we know that at our old place, just a couple mins down the road was a huge pumpkin patch. I mean, we did see the lines of people making an entering onto the pumpkin fields but it didn't really occur to us that maybe it would be fun to actually go look for one :S

I hope you who read and/or glance my blog are doing well. Not much around this neck o' the woods, it's really just mellow....

A scrap page today brought to you by of course, Jenni Bowlin Sept '11 kit, lots of funky colors, cute embellies and some packaging I decided would go well with my page :) What do you think? So the pic is of me, my very good friend Alejandra (I dunn think she runs by my blog so what she doesn't know won't hurt her, hehe),Kathy and her baby Dario. We were enjoying some delicious ice cream, it was getting chilly but we were happy to be out and about! Simple quick page, not much to it.

Yesterday, scrap pal Savitri and I got on Skype and enjoyed a ~ 2hr vcrop, catching up with each other, gossiping and b**ched about how we have no craft drive lately, really it happens a lot! Especially now, not much crafty mood these days, what's wrong (with me)? Am I tired, do I work too much (hehe) so please bear with me, I'm trying to post often :)

Hey there peeps, quick post here, but wanted to share my Sept scrap page that I made for WCS Sept Gallery! Have you visited this site lately? There's lots of inspiration and fun giveaways every week! This month the theme for the gallery is books. While I thought that scrapping about my college textbooks woulld be boring, I'd figure I'd let you in on my "guilty pleasure." Idea books are fun, and really work when you needs some inspiration to jump start some creativity! It really works for me, I subscribe to CARDS mag online and when I get published (has been a while now) I get them in hardcopies. Anyhoot, the pic might be off, having limited natural lighting at dawn, I quickly took the pics :)

I hope you had a great wkend! Scott and I ventured out into the trails of the Rocky Mtn Natl Park to see some water falls. The day was amazing and we had an excellent time!

The scrap page is made using American Craft's "Amy Tangerine" new line, the papers are all neat with amazing colors! I had to use them ASAP :) The page itself is very simple and easy to make. The pic is of Scott while on our hike yesterday. I used my brand new Fuji Mini 25 Instax. Yes, I got it for my birthday and I had to use it, it's really cute and fun to use :)

There is hardly any craft mojo in me these days, hence the lack of creativity on my blog. Today, I managed to create an 8"X8" layout of me an Scotty boy while in San Francisco. We traveled for a wedding and we had a couple of days to enjoy the city and what it had to offer. In the pic, we are at Ferry Farmer's Market, the fancy one that is very popular, you can often spot some celebrity chefs scoping out the most freshest produce. We had a blast, the food was amazing, and overall a lot bigger than the Boulder Farmer's Market. The vegetables and fruits looked yummy, too bad it didn't make much sense to haul it back home on a plane ... But, that day Scott got to enjoy taking pics and the atmosphere was too perfect!

Ok, the scrap page is mainly a mesh of different paper I had lying around. I enjoyed the 8"X8" space and perfect for the type of simple scrapping I do, now, I just gotta find an album that can fit that size. I hope you like, the pic itself if colorful :) My camera is really good at taking pics, don't you think?

**One last thing, I'm trying new templates for my blog, any feedback will be greatly appreciated, really, this blog is for you just as much as it is for me :)

Hey there folks,

No crafty stuff today but a few pics (click on the pic to see the rest of 'em) of my day at Ikea! If you live in the CO area you would realize that this is a big deal - to have an Ikea in the Denver area! Mind you the Swedish furniture store just opened its doors on Wed and people have been pouring into the store since then. Me, Scott and our close friends decided to join the crowds (we couldn't contain ourselves) and make our way to see what it had to offer ... great show rooms, food, home furnishings and accessories for all.

As some of you might know, Scott and I are moving to the city of Denver and well, this was worth the trip, actually, this was perfect timing because we are getting rid of most if not all of our furniture and trading it in for new ones! mostly we are looking for dining table, bed frame, and office/crafty desks ..

One last thing, you might've noticed the quality of my pics have upgraded :) We finally bought a DSLR camera and we've already realized that the investment was worth every penny! The pics are really good (two amateurs taking pics)! We bought a Nikon D7000. Scott has missed no chance on taking pics of everyone in sight!

A good mid wk to ya! it's Wed! Time flies ... this wkend Scotty boy and I were on a wkend vaca to SF (pics to come soon) and it was wonderful, the weather was somewhat chilly and we went for a wedding, it was lovely!

My first mini album ever! ever! I had a vcrop w/fellow blogger/friend Savitri and had recently received the Jenni Bowlin July kit, and I figured, may, just maybe I can intend to make a mini album! The kit is full of lovely paper, and cute embellishments .. The ring binder is from Tim Holtz (I had been hoarding it). So, I started by simply cutting paper to about 3"X5" and some I cut smaller, some wider, that way I can see the many papers a bit and used a two hole puncher (the ones offices use), it came out well! I was very surprised!

I didn't photograph the rest of the album on the inside because I haven't added any pics .. but it's tiny and cute and perfect for a starters ... All supplies are exclusively from the July kit . Lemme know what you think!

Hope you don't feel neglected, I have been busy this past wk with so many things! But, first up, a card here using Jenni Bowlin Haven paper and PTI's Daydreamer stamp set. Both gorgeous to work with. The card is pretty simple, some paper here, stamps there and voila!

Well, since I've been busy with "things" this wk, I'd figure I'd let you in on ... 1) We are moving to the "city," so Scotty boy and I have been busy looking at places to rent, and boy, it's a jungle out there! Mostly because the places we'd like to live in are very popular, very hip, up and coming places that the young crowd have dominated, so everybody wants to move in that area as well ... 2) I have been getting my nurse aide cert this past few mths, we are on the last stretch, so close! 3) As of Tues, I became an American citizen. Yes, I am legit, yes I'm a crazy american, yes, I will eventually have to serve on jury duty and well, the best part for me - vote! Vote in a federal election. If there's one thing people shouldn't take for granted, is your right to vote. So, this wk I had interviews to finalize my citizenship, lots of running around, making sure my papers were in line. I am very happy, very honored to be a US citizen :)

Few & Far In Between ...

Yes, that is what pics of me and the hubby are, few and far in between! We dislike taking pics, we are not photogenic ppl, so they are a rarity! But, this one, this one is ok! And of course, paper by Jenni Bowlin (June 2011) Kit using their Haven line, so vintage and earthy colors! The misting effect was made using just simple watercolor paint. I dabbed my brush into water without wiping the excess water, that way I mix enough watercolor paint onto it and have enough to sprinkle onto the whole page. You should try it, it's really inexpensive and it beats the misting bottles out there, and it has the same charming effect!

Well, it's 4th of July wkend and Scotty boy and I have to whole entire wkend to ourselves! And hiking season is at its peak now so we'll be busy being outdoorsy :)

A happy Wed to ya, it's officially summer! Colorado summer weather can be beautiful, the mountains are majestic and some still have a sprinkle of snow.

The scrap page is brought to you from of course, Jenni Bowlin (June 2011) Kit. Now, if you are not convinced that this kit is amazing by the page I made, then I'm not so sure what will ... :) The kit is complete with their new Haven paper line, gorgeous and totally vintage. Lovely kit as always!

So, since my handwriting sucks I rarely journal my pages, I'm just afraid I might ruin it. But a little background about the page ... Scott hates taking pics of me because I'm never satisfied with just one pic, and this is exactly the case with this pic of me. But little did I realize that the wall behind me loan itself to a nice pic of me enjoying my cup o' Joe!

A card here for Father's Day! It's just around the corner, and I made a few for a couple friends who want some to give out to their dads/husbands. To be honest, I was looking for Father's day card inspiration in the blog-o world and was disappointed to find very few to none! My goodness, no one makes them! What's up with that? I for one struggle to make boyish/manly cards but at least I tried!

So, here's my take on the masculine card, very CAS and tried not to add buttons, or any other embellishment that would be otherwise. Well, all supplies can be found by clicking on the pic!

June is for Father's Day! I just realized this a couple days ago :S Switching from girly cards to manly cards is a task for me, guy cards and baby cards are a challenge for me in general. But, this card came fairly easy, simple and guy-ish colors. A little bit of layering and stamping, voila! I used Hero Arts stamps and patterned paper, not much too it. Do you like? I've been keeping great news from you for a while, a while back I was contacted by WCS - Write.Click.Scrapbook to join there team! I was delighted to hear they wanted me on their team and that they had even heard about me :) So, here I am on my first scrap DT and I'm excited! If you're not familiar with WCS, it's basically a place where you can go to for inspiration, scrap news, giveaways and connect with other scrappper :) The ladies on the DT are super nice and proud to be among them :)

My first scrap page for them is inspired by "the men in our lives" gallery. As you know it's only me and Scott so I scrapped him. I used the JBS May kit, wonderful colors for a guy scrap :)

A good wkend for ya, today I've been creative! A card here featuring PTI's Button Boutique stamp set, cute and fun set to work with! I paired it with JB (April 2011) kit and got to working, luv the blend of colors and yellow. The card is fairly simple, lots of layering - foam after foam tabs but I feel it give it dimension :) Quick post for you today, not much going on except a nice mellow wkend with friends :) All supplies can be found by clicking on the pic itself :) As you can see, there has been some sun around here and it's been wonderful, the greenery is starting to sprout from all that rain we've been getting, but the sun has finally graced us with its presence and we're happy!

Another wkend and another post, this one here is using Jenni Bowlin (April 2011) Paper-Crafting Kit, such amazing goodies and wonderful colors to work with :)

Can you tell who that is with me in the pic? hint - she's an amazing crafter and I luv her Watch-Me-Weds videos :) She is the third blogger-craft friend I've met in person, and she's wonderful! It's always nice to meet fellow craft friends since we share a common hobby and so there's plenty to talk about :) You can find here blog HERE.

The page is fairly simple and sweet, lots of layering and misting ... misting is something I try to do once in a while, it's a nice effect to add to a project and much like this one, if you have a cool stencil to use, it really does add dimension! I think this is one of their best kits since I signed up with them, every color and paper blends so well, with hints of boldness, it's perfection!!! The kit came yesterday and it made my heart sing :) So, I opened it and instantly started to think of the many projects i could make with it! This card is the first of many ... very CAS

A card here today, I'm totally luving my Studio Calico add-on kit, I keep using the paper and have officially gotten my $$$ worth for sure! The flower is from my stash and butterfly cut out are from my Slice and Martha Stewart punch. The polaroid, well, it's very easy to make and I made it using a square punch and yer paper trimmer. (hopefully I can make a tut of this ...)

So, I hope you like, I really like how it turned out and I enjoy layering pieces right now, paper, embellies ... goodness!

One last thing, I've upgraded my Flickr account (I've been putting this off for a while and finally caved in since I was running out of space) I got to re-organize my shtuff ... and you'll be happy to know that it's very easy to browse my projects - two main sets: cards and scrap pages, easy ... on those two sets you'll find all the cards and pages I've made since using Flickr and all grouped together and easy to find!

What a wk! it's been crazy around my neck of the woods, again, work and juggling free time, and french! But anywhos, no one wants to here how one's life is soooo busy :S

The scrap page is a product of Studio Calico (Moses Supposes) 2011 Add-On Kit. To be honest, I was upset at SC for a bit - thing is I usually join their chat during reveal nite and a couple times I've tried to purchase their kit and apparently since I'm not lighting speed fast, someone "steals" my kit from my cart - not happy about it! Especially when I plan on interacting on their chat and do the count down. So, this time i was lucky to get the add-on kit I wanted and I got it. But, my point is ... it shouldn't be that way .... This is not to say that I dislike SC or that I will never buy from them, it's just me being frustrated at times :S

Oh well, the page is ALL Studio Calico, minus the paper and staples ... Luv the CAS easy to make page, the papers are plenty for color! I hope you like and well, I hope you have a great wkend!

The scrap page is of me, sometimes I take a few pics here and there on my iPhone, and yes, this is my desperate need to actually have pics to scrap book :S (not a picture person) My friend recently told me that I'm so serious on my pics, yes, I don't like to smile! I know it's been a wk since I've recently posted and this wk I got my craft on :) So I page for ya using Jenni Bowlin March 2011 Kit - the exclusive mercantile paper, the journaling tags, a must for the perfect page :) So, the pic is supposed to have this effect going on, I used Instagram (which is free and can be loaded onto yer iphone) and I really liked how it turned out. Not my ususal pic on the wondow sill ...

The stamp though I just bought today and I really liked it, so I just made it part of the page, luv luv this layout, so fun and lots of layering. And before you tell me I forgot to cut off the end on that Basic Grey paper, I left that on purpose :)

I hope yer wkend went by well, not much going on, still a bit sick, turns out I got a sinus infection and ear infection, how wonderful :S I'm on antibiotics but we'll see how long it will take for me to recover, because at this point, I'm still deaf :S

The card is a product of my new Jenni Bowlin (March 2011) Kit, what neat paper and embellishments. Most of the paper is from their new "Be Our Guest" collection. The flower was cut out by my Slice machine, I thought I wanted a flower cut out but it turns out that I really liked the "negative" that fit perfectly on the card stock, so I folded it and made it into a card. I really luv the CAS look, and the button and flower are very striking! I added some background paper to the flower and voila, a card was born :)

A card here for you, made it in less than 40mins today, all thanks to the JBS "Be Our Guest" Crop that went on this wkend, so much fun!!! I made this card using my fav color combo - cream, red, black and yellow. I quickly grabbed what I had and starting assembling a simply but clean card. Mostly layering and stapling here and there. Well, quick post today, I hope yer wkend went well.
On a sidenote - I am battling a nasty cold this wkend, I can barely taste food, seems I'm really clogged up!! The hubby got sick first, passed it on to me, and now here I am, sick of being sick, lol.

Today I bring you a scrap page I made with my Jenni Bowlin Feb 2011 Kit, cute cute stuff and so many cute elements to paly with! This page is also for the JBS Mercantile "Punches" challenge that's going on right now. And I figured, well, this is a great opportunity to use the gazillion punches I currently own :) So, I got to working, I really like how it turned out, most of the supplies come in the kit, minus the kraft and white cardstock :)
This pic, you can barely see, but basically that day I was at my college bookstore and happened to browse their card section, and that one caught my eye, funny - it's basically a piggy bank telling another piggy bank something that should sounds profound ... "remember, change comes from within" ha, I luved it :) So, hence the titles of this scrap page :)

I hope today finds you well. Here in CO, it's snowing and well I think we have a long stretch for the winter weather :S Today card is made using Martha Stewart "Heart and Notes Labels) they are part of their holiday collection, so fitting! I also made my own tag using different colored paper, punched and a Crop-A-Dile :) Very clean and simple and easy to make. This card will be one of 3 that will be made for my card get-together at my place with some college friends this coming Fri, how fun!!!! I hope you like and if you need any of the supplies you can find them by clicking on the pic and it will forward you to Flickr where they are posted.

On another note, I got a surprise when I went to the JBS Mercantile site and saw that I was the Feb Customer Spotlight winner, see HERE OMG! It was a thrill and unbelievable at the same time. I knew some of my schtuff was good but apparently they liked my scrap pages :) Not to mention the awesome prize :D If you subscribe to any scrapbook kit companies and they have a site to showcase customer;s page, don't hesitate to do so. I simply posted my pages because I wanted to let them see what I make, and sure enough someone liked it :) I was really honored by the mention and although my site is mainly for cards, I hope to bring you more scrap pages. Also, today it's really snowing a lot! Took me a good 15-20min to scrape my car windows, it was covered in thick ice :S But, I managed to make it to french class ...
Well, let me know what you think, I think this card will be a one of 3 cards that will be made with my peeps, I'm hoping to have a couple friends over and make some Valentine;s day cards, they are excited!!! Hope yer Sun is going well. I didn't have to work today so it was wonderful to sleep in. Thank you so much for pitching in yer 2 cents on my previous post - the dilemma concerning my noisy neighbors. So perhaps I shall indulge and let you know that once again Scott and I made to the leasing office and well, they are trying to take care of it and I think that the people above us are moving soon, we hope this is real soon, for the sake of my sanity!

Anyhoot, the page, made with my JB Jan paper crafting kit which can be found HERE. Lots of fun paper to work with, cute elements and other JB embellies which can be found at their online store. (it may sound as if I'm advertising their shtuff but I'm not, hehe) The pic is of me and my fav fav scraf, so soft and colorful! I'm taking a french class this semester since Scott and I are planning on our Europe trip this year. The french language is something I've always been fascinated with, and find it easy to grasp. I hope yer wkend went well, not much on my end 'cept work and more work. Today I bring you a card that was meant for a pub call but didn't get accepted so I figured I'd post it instead. Lots of JB stuff, friends theme and real cute. I really like the Studio Calico Dress Form stamp, perfect for the card. Do you likey?

Couple things before I go, this might be sort of long post so hold on there ... :)

1. My host sister (long time ago) Brittany Meek has just recently created a brand new cute card blog, which can be reached HERE, here blog is called Darling Creations and she writes about herself so you can get to know her. She's just started out and I want you all to show her some luv and go by here blog and welcome here, cuz that's what we do rite? Remember when we all started out and it was wonderful when you got yer first few comments and it was nice to know that people know yer out there? I'm sure you do, so lets show here some luv and let her know we care!

2.. I need help with something, or at least advice. So we- Scott and I live in an apt complex, we are on garden level, so that means people live above us. For the last 5 yrs we've been here, we've liked it, real nice and quiet. Last yr though, a family moved in, they are real heavy set and since they have young kids, they move around a lot and unfortunately, we can hear their every step, where they are in the apt and it goes on till late at nite around 2a in da morning. It's hell, especially since I'm a lite sleeper. We;ve made our rounds to the leasing office, they have let it come to their attn and we've had to knock on their door to let them know that they are rowdy. I know they are young kids, but this happens 24/7 and even late at nite, they've said they;re sorry and they'll try to keep in down but I dunn think they get it. We've been real nice about it, gone the right way to address this but it's not enough. At times, I swear one of them will crack the roof with all their walking around and fall on top of us :S it's really that bad. So, they are not cooperating, and it's not fun coming home anymore. I rarely post personal stuff on my blog, but I am not sure what my next move is, have any of you come across anything like this? I need some advice. Help!!?!?! Anything will be greatly appreciated!

Happy Friday to ya, today was the perfect day to scrap, since I got my Epson PictureMate for Xmas :) So now I can print pics on the spot, it's so small and portable and doesn't take much space in my craft area. This page is made with Jenni Bowlin goodies, because he's worth it :) I really like how the page turned out, I really like clean line and luved how every element fit together. This pic was taken while enjoying a nice lunch at Sushi Tokoro, a Japanese owned sushi place, all mom-and-pop nook! They are they sweetest family and are always welcoming, and they're not afraid to say, all bluntly - "You lost weight,!!!" err, ok, well thank you very much for noticing there mom and pop :)

Another card today, real cute, pretty and red :) I'm on a roll here to make valentine's cards because for some reason, I kinda like the occasion. Funny story ... while at work I was sharing with my coworkers that this yr Scott and I will celebrate 5 yrs of marriage (funny how time flies, I still can't believe it's been that long :) and that;s the reason why I tend to go all out for Valentines and well as cheesy as it sounds, my parents got married on Feb 14th. So one of my co-workers (she really should be a motivational speaker ... errr) says that the average marriage lasts 5 yrs!?!/?! I was like, Oh! Ok! Thank you for the grim future that lies ahead for my marriage :S hehe, some people I tell ya! :) I laughed, I told her she shouldn't work at a suicide hotline or some place like that, those poor people don't stand a chance!

I hope that those of you who celebrate the holidays ... that it was great and that you had fun. This holiday was great, Scott and I didn't get to go to Bze to visit my fam so instead it was just the two of us. It was great, and with that some awesome pieces I got, like my fav scarf ... it's warm and colorful. A little something about me, I luv luv black, grey colors for my clothes, I dunno why but I really don't gravitate towards colorful clothing, so when I saw the scarf on sale for 60% off at the Gap store, I bought it (because besides the red, there was some grey on it :)

This page is mostly using the Jenni Bowlin Dec Papercrafting Kit found HERE. A really neat kit, with interesting paper that I'm willing to make stuff with, so fun. Me and Scott would like to wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year ... This holidays there's actually a xmas tree (it's tiny and cute, and we decided that a small one is enough for us, even of we move into a big house in da future, it works, it's us :) and gifts, the mantle is decorated with snowflake garlands and cute little holiday-ish ornaments, the snow men are as adorable as when we first bought them and well, this is as Xmas-y as it gets in our place. I hope you all have a wonderful day and share it with fam and friends. Scott and I are having a lil xmas of our own, since we didn't get to go to Bze for da holidays we thought it would be nice to experience this holiday by ourselves ... it's fun, cozy and wonderful!!!

A very very colorful page of "me" again :D hee, actually I had no better "title" for my page ... this pic is very recent for me since it was just taken yesterday, Scott and I were in downtown Denver and we were taking a few pics of us and of downtown. The page really came out differently than what I initially wanted to do, it happens ... most of the time ... The bright colors started out with Studio Calico Mr Huey mists ... most amazing stuff ever, they dry instantly, no smudges, no waiting, no nothing, perfection really. I highly recommend them if you like mists, and the colors are awesome! Do you like my pink snowflake?? hee, I wanted it to be girly yet not too girly and well, even though its Dec there still hasn't been much snow lately so ... my title should've been somewhere around the lines of " in downtown Denver but where's the snow?" sort of title :) Well, I hope you like the page, it's really pretty and didn't take that long to make...say perhaps less than 30 min or so!

Hey there crafty peeps,

If you live in the US, well, Happy Thanksgiving! I'm sure you all stuffed yer tummies till you felt it would burst from all the eating you did, on one sitting! Pretty much the experience on my end here.
I also wanted to share a page with you tonite, one that journals our trip to DC, and our (Scott and I) for Georgetown! It was so busy and full of stores, the row houses so beautifully lined, house after house (some had been turned into business, but the old brick houses still gave their old significance away). Today I'm sharing a card that I made for one of my card stamping get - together for my co-workers at SBux, I thought it would be a great idea to get together and make handmade holiday cards to get to know each other since we're all fairly new to the store. Do you likey? I really like it, so simple yet colorful. I colored the tree branch and ornaments with the few Copic markers that I have :) It's really simple to mass produce and it doesn't take long to make (10-15 mins)

Well, quick post again. Just wanted to share this lovely card with you, and perhaps inspire you to start making yer own :)

Helllloooo there peeps,

I know, I've been MIA :( I am so busy now that I'm working and I don't see it slowing down any time soon :( I miss not having to worry about work and just having ample time to scrap or make cards! But, one thing though, it does pay for my crafting stuff, hehe. Today I am sharing a scrap page I did of me on my visit to DC. Yes, there was even a farmer's market right in the smack of the National Monument mall, crazy, it was nice and lovely, and small.
There are a lot of colors on this page, I gambled on it really, not fully sure it they matched at all or if it was just too much patterns. But I like the colors and it popls. Lots of goodies on it as well. I sorta cased this from one of Ali Edwards scrap pages, which you can find HERE. Luved the simple layout and it went well with what I had it mind. Well, that's it, I gots to go now.

hey there peeps,

A card here this Fri evening, brought to you by Embellish Magazine color challenge, what fun colors, which I dunn usually work with but I was inspired by the Vintage theme, and well, I had the perfect die cut to work with. I used my Slice (Vintage Findinds card) to create the bee, and I worked around the bee to make the card. Pretty simple, not sure if they all go together but I like the card ... PTI (Autumn Mix) buttons worked perfectly as well, lots of buttons in rust colors!
Well, not much going in, I work this wkend :S blah! But you know what, i like having $$$ to spend on my crafting addiction, hehe.

well, for some reason the kiddo pictures of the past have been popping up here and there for me :S Growing up we rarely took pics and well one day, the album with all (there weren't that many) the fam pics got wet due to the hurricane that hit us that yr ... so, there were only a few that survived, and this is one of them ... I scrapped it a while back with my Scrapbook Circle (Oct 2010) Kit, and while chatting with Savitri, she gave me the awesome idea to scrap my kiddo pics if I had any, so voila, how wonderful. Do you like my dress? my pose? hehe, my cake, which you can barely see is of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs theme, hehe ... the funny thing about this pic which took a long time ago, i actually remember it, it was taken behind my aunt's house, it was just me, my mom and her ... hehe.

It's Thurs and I'm SO glad that today and tomm I get to stay at home after school :) I started working at Starbucks not too far from where I live, and eventhough I luv getting paid, work is just work, lol. Besides being busy with school, I have not really been able to craft much this couple wks, and when I do, I really dunn have the energy to do so :S But this page was done a couple days ago, I found this pic of me and Scott together, so I jumped right into scrapping :) Really, if you haven't already figured it out, I'm not done using my Jenni Bowlin (Aug & Sept) Paper Crafting kits, hehe... I really luv her patterned paper, so yes, I'm slowly but surely using them! This pic was taken about 3yrs ago when Scott and I were in Westwood, CA :) He was on a work trip and I tagged along, and did some sight seeing too, he also went to UCLA so we were really close to the campus, it was fun!

hey there peeps,

If there is anyone out there visiting my blog now and then, let me know, hehe. I have had a bad case of crafter's block and I'm slowly getting my crafting mojo back, it can really be frustrating some times, especially when I really want to use some goodies that I purchase and I just can't seem to get an ounce of creativity!
The card, well I luv it, almost no stamping, but a mere blend of American Crafts Botanique paper that I won not too long ago, the colors are just so beautiful! and used exclusively on this card, save the cardstock, ink and sentiment. I wanted to start with colors, then I slowly built up this grid/squares layout. Beautiful huh? The butterfly punch is the ever popular and classic Martha Stewart butterfly punch I got at Michael's. I think it would be a perfect wedding card, don't you think? I hope more creative thoughts come to me, I really need to start crafting again :)

The card is one of their patterned papers, no card stock here! the cute lil butterfly is from SC from one of the add-on kits (sept 2010). Very CAS, just my style, perfect for a friend ... A guy card here using scraps from Jenni Bowlin, Basic Grey and this Maya Road guy chip board I've been hoarding from who knows when! The sentiment is from Practicing Creativity (You're the man) clear stamps. I really like the splash of blue on the card, but mostly neutral - the total guy card rite? I think so ...
One thing is for sure ... I've learned that if I buy 12"X12" paper, cut it into 8.5"X11" paper, I still have a good amount of paper left to use on my cards, I kill two birds with one stone! so that way, if I really like the paper, I can use it on both scraps and cards! Ditto! :) You likey?

It's Mon and a new wk! Time flies when yer having fun! Today brings a scrap page I did on Sat during the VCrop with the awesome ladies of the blogger/crafting world :) I really like this page for two reasons, the design and the letters stickers that pop out! Luv the green color! What rally you ask? This pic was taken wayyy back in '08, when Michelle Obama came to speak at CU-Boulder, my school, I was so excited cuz I had never witnessed any kind of event like this, the mood was there, the young people, old people, came together, it was fun and Michelle Obama was awesome, I even got to shake her hand! :) Well, anyhoot, I really hope you have a great wk, there's another layout to come soon from the VCrop ... Let me know what you think. The design is pretty simple and fun, and of course Jenni Bowlin (Aug, Sept) scrap kits are used on this page, JB still going strong :)

Hey there peeps,

A Happy Sun to ya! A card here using my new Lawn Fawn stamps, I got them in the mail on Sat and got right to crafting with them! I used Sophie's Sentiments and Teeny Tiny Backgrounds. Very CAS, I colored some of the tiny hearts in and decorated it with some ribbon. Ribbon, I hardly use it anymore and I have a ton! I'm just hoarding them! So perhaps now my goal is to use as much ribbon as I can, we'll see how it goes.
Also, yesterday was Vcrop day with some of the ladies on the blogging world - basically we get together on a vchat room and we all chat about the craft, family, friends, things we like etc while we are doing some crafting project, very nice way to spend the day! This time I spent some time with Laurel Beard (I was trying to teach her how to tie a nice ribbon :) as well as Sarah Martina Parker and Ashley Cannon Newell, so sweet and nice :) Well, the card is a product of that, I also managed to make 2 scrap pages which will be posted some time soon :)

Second post for the day, I couldn't resist sharing this page with ya! Another of my Jenni Bowlin scrap pages, save perhaps the Basic Grey paper and stapler - everything else is from Jenni Bowlin! Are you getting tired of them? hope not! :) This is a pic of the hubby again, this one is seriously from 2006, the year we got married, actually, the day after we got married! my fam was here for the wedding, their first time in the US and we took them to the Rocky Mtn National Park in Estes, CO. It was such a blast and my parents were amazed by the huge, majestic mountains, it was a sight to remember, nothing like they'd ever seen before! Here Scott is at the top of the summit, some 2.3 miles above sea level (12,000 ft), crazy! you can really get dizzy up there! well you likey? The wkend is already here! insane! This yr is going soooo fast! Well anyhoot, I hope you have a wonderful wkend!

Well, I gotta tell you, this Jenni Bowlin (sept 2010) paper crafting kit is really a treat for me! I actually have ideas and want to scrap! I luv it! This one is of Scott boy - the hubby. This was taken a while ago, there's a local bbq park not too far from where we live and so we always went to bbq during the summer. As you can tell, he's like "oh man, not another pic" even then, we've never liked taking pics, but we're trying, I'm trying to take more pics. You likey? I really like the stars and the buttons. A scrap page this wk, and what a rare one it is!! This pic was taken, seems likes ages ago, at the end of my first semester at CU-Boulder. That's right, way back in 2008! My friends back in the day, decided that we should go "celebrate" my surviving the first semester at college ( I was at a community college before that) and so we did, at a local hang eatery near school. She caught me off guard and well, I was enjoying my Long Island Iced Tea :) The scrap, almost all of the goodies are from the Jenni Bowlin (Sept 2010) Papercrafting Kit! luv luv all the goodies and I tried using most of them on this scrap! A card here for ya, I haven't made a bday card in a while, or so it seems. The card has a lot of goodies, mainly AC Botanique paper that I won via MFW, I was so happy with my prize, I really like the collection and such beautiful patterns. I'm slowly using it :) Do take part in their challenges, Cath is so nice and always has great prizes in store for da winner :D This card is very girly and springy too - the colors remind me of spring. Well, short post today, not much going on except for class, and class work, boo! Often times I wish I went to Brown University, they are so progressive, in that you can take any class pass/fail and there are no core requirements, you only take classes you actually want to take, hehe, wouldn't that be nice? I read that HERE. But it's nice to know that my school is in a town named the best college town, hehe, post HERE. When you go to college you always wonder how good yours is ranked to others, and in what way. But who knows if this info is actually right, but anyhoot, it's always food for thought :)

I hope you are having a wonderful wkend, the hubby and I sure are! If yer in the US then we all have a 3 day wkend, how nice! Yesterday we cleaned our place, it was a mess, and most of it caused by me! Yes, with school starting and books everywhere, I just spread all my stuff out in the leaving area and well, it gets messy. Since I was in a cleaning mood I decided to clean and re-organize my craft area! pheww, it was a mess too and trying to shift things around in the little space that I have was a challenge! So the pm when I came into the spare bedroom/ craft area, it looked so nice that I took a picture! See how clean and organized? :) Well, the page I really like, especially the buttons with the number stickers saying 24-7. Very CAS, just the way I like, the colors were inspired from The Color Room Palette #22.

A Wednesday card here for ya, very Jenni Bowlin, very vintage, most of the goodies are from her. The paper comes from her Aug 2010 kit, it was my first time buying a kit from her, such awesome goodies and paper, she does have a unique sense of style that I am starting to like :) Are you wondering about the die cut flower? Well, I got a Slice (Making Memories die cut machine) this wkend, it was on sale at Michael's, what a deal, and what a wonderful machine!!! It's tiny and portable, perfect for me, I have limited craft space so being small is a plus! you can cut anywhere from 1"-4" perfect for the card maker/ scrapper! Let me tell you, it's SO easy to use, you do need a special type of adhesive to keep the paper in place on the glass cutting mat (comes with the kit). Especially if you want to cut intricate images! You likey? let me know! I'm so happy with it!

Hey there peeps,

This wk went by so darn fast, the wkend is already here! First week of classes and bam, already gone! I guess it's a good thing rite? :D Well, the card here is a product of Basic Grey (Jovial) paper collection that just came out, it's their holiday paper available at Archivers, hehe. The theme here is vintage, not sure if it fits the category quite well, but the card is so elegant looking, and the handmade paper flower with the doily I think gives it that impression. The flower was inspired by Danielle Flanders' card HERE. Her flower was gorgeous and therefore made my own :) Let me know what you think, you likey? I showed it to the hubby and he said it was too plaid ... too Alaskan like, lol, I was like O-K :S

I came up with this cute mini card using Lawn Fawn stamps - Sew Lovely set, how appropriate for what I had in mind. Another scrap page here for ya today, this one is made for the American Crafts Challenge - make a 2 page layout using 2 or more AC products. Honestly, I had no idea how I'd pull this one off, being my first 2 pg layout and all. I started out with different colors, and finally ended up with the above. I really like it though, totally my style, simple yet the colors make it pop. This scrap is from our visit to Wine Country in Napa, CA in '07. It was one of THE best places we've ever visited hands down. Most of the layout is AC goodies, safe the paper, mist and rhinestones, the rest is AC products. Last wkend of fun, school starts on Mon.

TGIF, well, not quite for me, that means that one last wkend of vacation and I'm back to school :S So, A scrap page for ya today ... This is one of my fav scraps of me and Scott. I found Mosaic Maker via blogger pal and friend - Savitri. So I gathered some pics of me and the hubby and made one, lot easier than trying to resize pics individually ... and since I got printing ink back I made a scrap! I really like the colors! A card here for Moxie Fab World's "Signs of Peace" Challenge. I was blogging around and ended up at their site, was scrolling down their blog and saw their challenge... I saw this distress ink effect (here) at Studio Calico blog and the light bulb lit up! I used this blending tech to give the tie-dye look to the card, I totally like how it turned out! It so fits the groovy, peace, 1970s period :) You likey? This is a perfect way to use yer distress inks, multiple inks at once :) so, if you have any around in yer craft pile, do use them, it;s fun :) Besides that, not much going on, spending some quality time at home, relaxing and looking for PT jobs for da fall season :)

Hey there peeps,

It's Fri and the wkend is upon us. Today I bring you another scrap page, at this point you may be wondering whether I've transitioned into a full time scrap booker, which is understandable. But no, I am still very much a card maker, at this moment I really like the idea trying to minimize the "pile" of goodies I've managed to accumulate in 3 years. Scrap booking does that. Anyhoot, the page fits this wk's American Crafts button challenge, how wonderful, the page put together by AC goodies as well as BG goodies :) Let me know what you think, the thing with Scott and I is that we dunn like taking pics much so when we do, we're not in it together, hehe.

Another self scrap page today :) I'm on a kick for Studio Calico, makes my heart smile, hehe. It's a scrap of me and my errr "bond" with Apple, in particular, my iPhone! Ok, the goodies are the SC Ampersand stamp. Also, the handmade crochet flower I made today for the page, the button is also SC. The other embellishment made out of pure curiosity was the tab using SU! Tab punch and a cup sleeve from my Starbucks beverage this am. Well, luving the SC page, full of color :)

Hey there peeps,

A scrap page here for ya this wkend. Well, some of the goodies on this scrap page come from the scrap supplies that CARDS magazine sent me for getting published through them :) It makes me heart smile, they sent me a Studio Calico scrap kit and I loved it! Oh, how I was happy, hehe. I'm a big fan of SC, although I don't get to buy much stuff from them, I really like their style and kits. Well, the page is of me, I wish I had a pic of me crafting but I didn't so I improvised, hehe, you likey? I really didn't want to add much to the page since I really liked the paper. The girly stamp you ask? yes, from SC as well, you can find it HERE.

A card here using my new WPlus9 stamps :) hehe, I'm so giddy because they got here yesterday and I seriously rushed to play with them, they stamps so well! (I mainly use SU! inks) So seriously, the card has nothing but WPlus9 stamps, I got 2 free sets for winning Embellish Magazine baby color challenge :) I luv the CAS look of the card and I broke out my Spellbinders circle die as well, I found out my local Hobby Lobby has tons of them :) Well, that's it for now, I hope you are having a great wk, although it's almost done!

hello peeps,

A scrap page here tonite. I realized I had quite a bit of pics from our NYC visit last Thanksgiving, so I decided to make another page with them. I really really like the paper, lovely dotted paper with awesome colors. The ribbon? Well my good blog friend Angie passed it on to me, hehe, I told her I was use it in a project I get to keep :) Thanks Angie! Well, the page is a tad bit artsy, I really had no idea how this page would turn out and I just went with it, I like it :) Well, that's it for today, not much going on here, I can't believe the summer semester is almost over, just 2 more wks, yikes! Well, let me know what you think! I'm off to blog hopping!

Hey there peeps,

I hope you are having a wonderful wkend, today, here in CO is really really hot, it's seriously in da 100s! So, I'm in doors trying not to go out much. A scrap here today, it's from our visit to a spa resort- Miraval in da summer of 2009. Scott and I really want to go back again, it was wonderful. Well, the page has a lot of misting and distress inks, I'm obsessed with both! The butterfly is dabbed with distress ink, then before I stamped it, I sprayed some clear mist to give it some extra sparkle. You can't see it on the pic but it gives a really great effect :) Speaking of hot, it was hot in AZ as well, except we were in doors enjoying a nice massage, hehe.

hey there peeps,

2nd post in one day, this time, a card for The Play Date Cafe challenge, such cool colors to work with this time. I drew my inspiration from the yellow from the flowers, right now, that is my fav color to work on my cards :) There's also hints of colors as well, just like on the jars from the inspiration photo. The butterfly on the card has Stickles to it, for some extra shine :) Let me know what you think! And I hope that you all had an amazing wkend!

hey there peeps,

A scrap page here for ya! I'm totally loving the soft colors on this page, I really like the hints of pastel yellow colors popping out of the page, combined with soft blue colors :) hehe Well, this page is from our last recent hike to Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Golden, CO. It's one of the most beautiful parks I've hiked near the Denver Metro Area. The trails are surrounded by tall aspen trees and wild flowers, such a great hike! At the end of the Horshoe Trail that Scott and I were on, there's a meadow. I highly recommend this trail for people who want to give hiking a try, perfect for a beginner... If you ever come to CO to visit :) Well, the page is pretty much simple but lots of cool stuff on it. I luv it!

Hope you are spending yer wkend well, and that it's warm where yer at (it's been cloudy out here in CO, ughh). Anyhoot, a card here for ya, showcasing Practicing Creativity "Look Up" set. I gotta tell ya, the more I use this set the more I luv it, so versatile and fun :) The card, well, pretty simple but yet colorful - few colors that are new from the new SU! In Colors set - Concord Crush and Peach PArfait. When I saw the new colors I knew I had to get it, I just luved the color selection, so I did :) Thanks Angie :) Well, quick post, not much going on here, have a good rest of the wkend!

A quick post here today, all the ladies have been playing with The Play Date Cafe's color challenge and i decided to play as well. Very CAS mini card, pretty much stamping all over the card and the colors :) Perfect card for a warm welcome to the new neighbor or something :) I really like my new Hero Arts city skyline wood stamp, stamps perfectly :)

Hello there peeps,

Another blog post for ya! This time it's a card! yes a card :) I made this one about a wk ago and didn't take a picture of it until just recently. Well, the stamp is by HA - their village wood stamp that come out not too long ago. Really cute but I didn't like the way it stamped so I took it back. Has that happened to you before? Get a stamp and find out that it's not what you expected? Well, I got to using my Copic markers as well, I painted some of the houses and roofs, cute! And the sentiment, well that's Lawn Fawn stamps, so cool, their stamp set - Harold's ABC, are a most have set, very very versatile and the font is unique :)

Hello there peeps, another page for ya, honestly, I dunno where all this creativity is coming from, hehe. This scrap was made with AC Thickers in mind, often I browse through American Crafts blog and some times there are challenges I would really like to play to but I dunn have time. This time I did and I went for it. Funny story about this page, it took me forever to get it done, and the base paper was this green pp that was way to bright and didn't go with all the colors, so what did I do? I cut it our of the green paper with heart and pic and taped it to a better looking one! I like the page more and more, so cute and full of colors. The heart, well I luv my college - University of Colorado at Boulder and I luv the hubby, so a heart seemed appropriate. Hope you like it, I hope tomm I can post a card for ya ;o) Thanks so much for the encouragement I've gotten from all you ladies who come by my blog, I really appreciate it, gracias! Well, that's it for now :)

hello there peeps,

So first up, I just wanted to say that my blog is not going to turn into a scrap booking only blog, lol. Just in case yer wondering :) This is my second scrap in a row, I luv this one too, luv the splash of color amongst the black and white pic of Scotty boy and the patterned paper. We visited NYC last yr for thanksgiving and we got to visit tons more place while in the city that we didn't get to do the last time we visited (did I say visited twice in one sentence, oh well, I can't write, sorry). I went digging into my pile of goodies and found the most appropriate skyline sticker for this page, so cool. Someday, I'd like to live there and experience the city life. Let me know what you think. I'm on a roll here, there might just be another page coming soon, hehe, or perhaps a card :)
